Our Story

Lanikai the Label is an Australian Eco-sustainable swimwear brand established in 2017 by founder & designer Claire Vella.

The vision of the brand was born during her time spent living in Hawaii when
Claire was deeply inspired by the way of the Hawaiians.
The notion and practice of mālama i ka ‘āina, meaning “To respect and care for the land”
is one of the most important pillars of Hawaiian culture.

Using only eco-sustainable fabrics, the technology behind the ECONYL® yarn is that it uses 100% regenerated material derived from recovered fishing nets, carpet fluff and other discarded nylons.
